Our customer is ranked as the most valuable financial services brand in the world.* They needed a robust chat solution configured exactly around their security and integration needs. More challenging still, they needed it deployed in the complex environment of the Middle East.

What we did

  • Powered a proof of identity acceptance process to enable chat for validated banking customers only
  • Integrated chat into the central website, a logged-in customer portal area and a custom mobile banking application
  • Provided a dual-language localisation, with real-time translations running back and forth between English and Arabic
  • Developed a unique credit card masking process for the customer that works across both English and Arabic numerals
  • Delivered bespoke chat window design to match the customer’s branding, with all traces of the WhosOn brand removed

How we did it

  • Worked in close consultancy with the client to establish a live chat deployment plan, focused on specific objectives and deliverables
  • Offered a uniquely hosted rollout, with on-premises installation in Saudi Arabia and a dedicated cloud server deployment in Bahraini
  • Created a private staging environment for rigorous, risk-free testing of the new channel ahead of its rollout
  • Built multiple custom integrations to enable WhosOn to perform CRM lookups, sit natively inside the customer’s services and feed data into an internal dashboard
  • Dedicated extensive internal resources to deliver the chat project within a tight four-month timeframe

The results

Via their bespoke WhosOn deployment, our customer has been able to:

  • Identity-check each live chat visitor before allowing them to proceed to a verified customer chat session
  • Achieve smooth PCI DSS compliance and adherence to data protection protocols via secure encrypted server
  • Quickly communicate via chat in both Arabic and English, even switching between the two alphabets as needed

  • Gain additional chat control and insight via remote control and commissioned dashboard configuration
