ISP Edition Site License Terms & Conditions
The WhosOn ISP Edition is a special version of WhosOn Installable that is licensed for use only by Hosting Companies, ISP's, ISV's,
Web Designers and Content Management providers. It runs on your
own servers and allows you to provide, and charge for, WhosOn
Hosted Services to your own customers.
The ISP Edition Site License is sold on a monthly subscription basis. You can
install the WhosOn Server on any number of servers within your organization. Any
number of monitored sites can be created. You must purchase a 'seat' license for
each end-user seat that will be using WhosOn across all your servers.
You must agree to the following terms & conditions and have the minimum requirements
to use the ISP Edition.
Minimum Hardware Specification
The dedicated servers that will be used for WhosOn must meet the
following minimum specification:
- Dual or Quad core CPU.
- 1Gb RAM
- 20Gb Hard disk space
- 2 Internet IP address
- Minimum 1mbit bandwidth.
Running:
- Windows 2003/2008 (any edition)
- IIS 6/7 with .NET Framework 2/3/3.5
- SQL Server Express 2008 or SQL Server 2005/2008
Note: Servers must be dedicated to WhosOn and not be
running other processes
or hosting other services. Virtual servers can be used.
Installation Service
We can install WhosOn for you as part of your subscription. For this we will need
access to the server via Remote Desktop. The installation service is provided
free of charge for your first server.
Product Updates
In order for your end-users to have the best possible experience with WhosOn,
you need to keep your copy of the WhosOn Server updated. You must keep your
WhosOn Server updated by checking for updates once per month.
WhosOn Client Distribution
You are free to distribute the WhosOn Operator Client program to your customers.
Any number of WhosOn Client setups can be installed.
End User Billing
You are free to bill your customers for the
use of your WhosOn Services over any period you choose (monthly,
quarterly, yearly etc). You can bundle the charges in with existing
products/subscriptions if you wish. You are free to charge
one-time 'setup fees'. Your invoices must not look as
they are from Parker Software.
Co-Branding
The co-branded option is an option to customise WhosOn so that the software
shows your brand. This will display as “WhosOn by [Your Company Name]” or some
similar naming agreed beforehand with Parker Software. The link back URL inside
the product and chat window will go to a URL of your choice.
White Label Option
The White Label option enables the ‘WhosOn’ name to be changed throughout the
product to a name of your choice. The product name must not contain ‘WhosOn’,
‘Parker Software’, or any other trademark that you do not own. Parker Software
will create a special version of the WhosOn Client Setup program, which will
show your name throughout the application and help files. Link-backs in the
software and chat client will go to a URL of your choice.
Website Copy
You must write your own website text and not duplicate copy from our website. This
is to avoid search engine penalization for duplicate content. Your website
must not attempt to replicate this website in look and feel.
Full Time Support
Your business must be in a position to provide full time (normal office hours, 5
days per week) support to your customers. Your web site must show full contact
information (Business Name, Address, Telephone number & Email). Parker Software
also offer a service to support your end-users for an additional fee. If you do not
subscribe to the end user support option, then Parker Software will not support your
end users, and support requests will be redirected back to you.
Managed Server
Parker Software also provide optional managed Windows Servers for you to run your ISP Edition on. If Parker Software Technical Support informs you that a Managed Server is approaching
capacity you must follow the recommendations that they give. This will involve adding another server,
or increasing the database licenses on the machine.
Technical Support
If using the ISP Site License without a Managed Server provided by Parker Software,
your business must have or employ a person or persons with enough technical ability to manage
a Windows Server. This person must be able to administer Microsoft Internet Information Services,
Microsoft SQL Server, your external IP addresses, your DNS records, and any firewalls that you have in place.
Parker Software will only provide Technical Support for the base WhosOn product.
Any modifications or customisations to your server that you make will not be supported by Parker Software.
Microsoft Internet Information Services and Microsoft SQL Server will only be supported in so far as is
necessary to run the WhosOn product.
Use of the WhosOn ISP Edition Site License indicates your acceptance of these terms.
